Every five years, certified HGV drivers are required to complete thirty-five hours of CPC training in order to maintain their HGV driver entitlement. Like with the initial training, recertification is required for drivers of category C, C1, and C+E vehicles. However, unlike the initial training, exams are not required to maintain HGV driver entitlement, only the attendance of required courses totaling thirty-five hours of attendance. Once the thirty-five hour requirement is met, the HGV driver will be issued a DCPC qualification card.
